    Hi,
I would like to know if there is a way in which I can add a new taxonomy structure to filter sermons by Bible Book? Is it possible to add another category or is it possible to change the structure that there is and rename one of the categories such as “Tags” to “Books” or “Categories” to “Series”?
Thanks. This would be most helpful.

    Hi there

Adding new taxonomy needs customization at a good level, if you need it then can ask for custom work quote at envato@imithemes.com
To change the names you can do this by using the child theme with that my support guy can assist you.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Thank you so much for your quick response.

After some thought, I think it would work out if I just changed some wording and did not add in a new taxonomy.

Could you please help me to change “Categories” to “Books”
    and “Tags” to “Topics”

    Thankyou so much!

    Hi @mazkolk,

Please find attached child theme below.Place it inside your “themes” folder and just activate it:
    https://d.pr/8i1YKf

P.S. Please reset the permalink inside Settings -> Permalink after activating the theme.

    Thanks

    Hi there,
Thank you so much for your help.
Do you mean that I add this as a new theme and then activate it?
I tried to upload the zip file and install it but I get this error message:
    “Destination folder already exists. /home/sutherl1/public_html/wp-content/themes/NativeChurch-child/
    Theme installation failed.”

thank you for helping with this.

    Hi Mazkolk,

If you are already using a child theme, you can just copy “custom-post-types” folder and “functions.php” file & paste theme inside your child theme.

    Thanks

    Hello again,
Do I add the new code into the existing functions.php file or do I replace the existing functions.php file with the one you have sent me?
Could I inactivate the chid theme and then re-load the theme with the new files added into it?
    thanks.

    Hi @mazkolk,

You just need to add the new code into the existing functions.php file and also copy “custom-post-types” folder into existing child theme.

    Thanks

Just to make sure that I don’t do the wrong thing when pasting the code.

Do I just add the code – which you sent me – but add it before the closing ?>

Do I remove <?php and ?> and just insert the code between this?

    thanks.

    @mazkolk,

You just need to copy the code which is between these tags and it inside existing file before closing tag(?>).

    Thanks

I have added it as you wrote – and also added in the folder with the custom post types – but now I cannot enter the admin at all of the site to do anything.
I’m not sure what I can do and I really need some extra help here.
    thanks.

    Hi @mazkolk,

Please find “imic-theme-functions.php” file attached below and replace it with existing one:

    FILE LOCATION: /wp-content/themes/NativeChurch/imic-framework/imic-theme-functions.php

Category page is also working now, please check once at your end as well:http://www.sutherlandreformed.com.au/sermons-books/1-samuel/

Please let me know if you still find any issue.

    Hi there,

Can I paste this into the child theme which I am using or do I need to replace the file which is located in the NativeChurch theme folder?
If I can add it to the child theme it would be better for later updates.

Also, when I go to my sermons page – I do not see any filter options at all.
    http://www.sutherlandreformed.com.au/sermons/

And when I am on that page and I click on “All Sermons” – small green button – it takes me here: http://www.sutherlandreformed.com.au/sermons-books/genesis/

How can I edit that “Sermons” button and what is the way to make it show/hide on pages?
    Thanks.

    Hi @mazkolk,

1)Sorry but you need to replace it inside theme’s folder.

2)It’s an archive page that’s why filter is not displaying on this page. You can use “Sermons” template instead.

3)You can edit it inside “header.php” file nearby line no. 432:
    <a href="' . $term_link . '" class="pull-right btn btn-primary">' . __('All sermons', 'framework') . '</a>

    Thanks
