events not showing on date of event
# 6 months, 1 week ago
I have downloaded the latest version of the theme Born to Give and I have it on this website: https://www.garagetheatre.com/
My problem is the events are not displaying on the home page which uses the Future events module, on the same day as the event, so for example and event is on today at 8pm it is not showing on the website today at all.
Here is the events setting:
For the short term I set 1 past event and then all the future events under but as you can see it does not look good:https://www.garagetheatre.com/
As a work around we were setting the end date and time to the next day but when I try that it shows tomorrows date on the event:
Above I have 1 past event showing and below it the future events. You’ll see the same event with 2 dates. How can this module look at both the date and the time of the event to include it in the Future events list? I’m surprised other people have not raised this as an issue.

No its still not right, if you look at the home page here:
The event Six Marys is showing as March 23rd, but the event is on March 22nd. The end date is showing as the event date:
You’ll see the url of the event is the wrong date?
Here is the setting:
the event expired. If you look at this event you’ll see it is showing the wrong date:
It showing the end date instead of the actual date. You need to look quickly as the events will be over.
you have the log in, if you place a test event on for today at 8pm see what happens?
I have checked both the events “SOCIAL & CONTEMPORARY DANCE CLASSES” and “GARAGE THEATRE EASTER DRAMA CAMP”.These are multiple days events, there dates get changed to next day once an event is started.
I have also created a test event for today at 8 pm and it is showing correct date:
This is baffling!
Has there been an update to the plugin? Last week when we entered an event for 8pm and finish at 11pm the event would not show on the website for future events. So we put the end date 12 hours later but when we did this the event date in the red box showed the end date rather than the event date. But it seems to be working again now as it should do.
We’ll keep an eye on it and see if it continues to work ok.
I’m back with this same problem again. It seems if I add in an event that is occurring today, it will not show on the home page where I’m using the module Future Events. I have the events set to show as follows:
So the end date is set to tommorrow morning but it will not display. Can you replicate this on your demo? Add an event for this evening at 8pm, set the end time to tomorrow at 5am and see if it will display on future events?
I think if the event is added to the system on the same day as it is occurring this is happening.
Can you check please?
There seems to be certain issue when we set event to display till end time.I have reported this to our technical team.In the meantime, I suggest you to set “Events Display Time” as “Start Time” inside Theme Options -> Events -> Events Display Time.It works well.
I have created a text event on your server starts on 1 May & ends on 2 May.It shows correct date @ front-end:
I also checked other events as well on your server but didn’t experience such thing. Can you please check this once again at your end.
Ok, I have been checking the website every date and watching the event that is scheduled for today May 3rd, ti was displaying fine every day until this morning where it now is showing May 4th as the event date:
This event occurs for 3 nights so it looks like when it gets as far as the day of the event, it changes the date of the event to the next day. I went in and i changed the end date to May 4th at 00:00 and it does not diplay at all. there is a problem with this module, I will have to look for an alternative as I can keep spending time trying to get dates to show correctly.
I have to move it so it displays correctly as a short term measure as people are booking online.
Can you test this on a demo site, set an event for a day in advance and see if the date changes on the actual day of the event?
An update on the ticket, I made a new event, today’s date for 7pm tonight, it is not showing on the website in future events, it shows as a past event. I am looking at your plugin for https://codecanyon.net/item/eventer-wordpress-event-manager-plugin/20972534
is this the same plugin as I’m using on this theme or would it be worth while trying it?
1)I have made an event for today’s date at 7pm,it is showing on your website. Please see below screen URL:
2)I have also checked multiple days events for May 4 – May 5.It also displays in future events lists.Once the date is passed/event gets started, it’s date gets changed to next day:
