    Hi there

For language translation you use this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/

For multilingual websites we recommend using WPML plugin

    Thanks

    Ok. I got it.
But Loco Translate needs .pot file for translation.
    Where I find it?

Or is there some tutorial (manual) how to do it with your theme?

    Thanks

.po file can be located in your theme’s language folder. Thanks

    Hi @artefax,

You can use the language file translation to change the texts or this translator plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/.Please see the below link for guidance on use of plugin:
    https://localise.biz/help/wordpress/translate-plugin

For using language file, you need to follow these steps (these steps are for translating into Spanish language):

You should have poedit tool in your system:

    1. Open default.po file in poedit.(You can find this file in theme’s language folder)
    2. SaveAs with es_ES.po
    3. You will have now list of all text which is in english right now, so you need to translate them here, once you completed with translation of text, save your file.
    4. The es_ES.mo file will be automatically generated for you, no need to edit this.
    5. You need to edit wp-config.php also and change “define(‘WPLANG’, ”);” to “define(‘WPLANG’, ‘es_ES’);”.

Once you complete these steps your wordpress dashboard default language will change to new one.

    Thanks
