    Hi all

Hope you guys are aware with the newly added page builder option in NativeChurch v2.4 released on May 09, 2015. The same page builder will be added to our other themes in the coming couple of weeks. Here is some important info about using the page builder.

We have opted Site Origin Panels for our themes, its a free drag drop page builder which is regularly updated with new features and bug fixes and quite easy to use for everyone because it uses the most common thing of wordpress that is widgets as the page content blocks. So its like placing widgets in a s sidebar to create a new page. We will be adding more and more widgets for our themes with every coming updates to make them all purpose themes.

Steps to started with the page builder use:

    1. First thing before using the site origin panels page builder is to install all the 3 recommended free plugins on your website. The required plugins are: Site Origin Panels , So Widgets Bundle and Black Studio Tinymce Widget.Site origin panels is the page builder interface which works with widgets available in your theme. So widgets bundle is there free package of some useful widgets like pricing table, featured icon blocks, interactive maps, video widget and much more.Tinymce widget is a widget which let you add wordpress visual editor to any of your page builder block to insert any text, shortcode inside it.

All of these plugins are required before you start using the page builder widgets of our themes. You can install them from the message comes in your dashboard as soon as you update to the latest version of theme which comes with page builder addition. These plugins can also be installed and activated from Appearance > Install plugins

    2. Theme built in widgets are included in the theme inside imic-framework > Page-builder folder. These widgets and So Widgets Bundle widgets needs to be activated before you can see them in your page builder interface. To activate the widgets just move to Plugins > SiteOrigin Widgets where you see a page like below image:Screenshot 2015-05-16 02.17.16
    3. Start building a page using the page builder widgets. Move to Pages > Add new where you will see an additional toggle tab at the content editor:Screenshot 2015-05-16 02.25.42Choose the page builder tab and you can now start using the page builder widgets. See full documentation about using widgets here: https://siteorigin.com/page-builder/documentation/
    4. Theme’s specific classes can be attached to your page builder rows¬† like shown below:Screenshot 2015-05-16 02.30.44
Screenshot 2015-05-16 02.32.10To add parallax effect to background image of a row add class “parallax” and after space add “parallax1” Notice if you have mutiple parallax background rows in your single page then you need to add “parallax2” , “parallax3” along with “parallax” for each row.
To remove default top padding from the page you can use class “no-top-content-padding” for your first row on the page.
    5. Prebuilt pages are added in the theme when you update to latest version. You can use them as described here: https://siteorigin.com/page-builder/documentation/prebuilt-layouts/
    6. You can find a new page template added to use that for your website homepage with page builder named “Home Page Builder”(Native Church Theme Only)

More info about the page builder widgets will be added in coming days here in this post only. Let me know your questions in this thread and i would be happy to see some beautiful page created with the new page builder.

    Thanks

Can you animate the widgets from each row.
The demo has the columns appearing with a fade in/slide in effect. How can I recreate this with the new widgets on the page builder?

    Thanks

in my installation the Page Builder does nothing, i had to go back to the usual tags, if i create two columns nothing happens, the page has only text but no tags or html

in the case of importing old pages (like the demo ones) it destroys everything. Some clue?

@pixelittle Animation options will be added in future updates of themes. Thanks

@fabiomb Please create a separate thread in the forum of the theme you are using and do share your wp-admin credentials there in a private reply for me to check the issue. Thanks

Hi, In Native Church theme, the Site origin Plugin totally messes up the page. I have had to disable it in order to be able to have a reasonable page build up. Is there another similar plugin you will recommend?

@lcdk NativeChurch comes with full support for SiteOrigins plugin including the custom widgets to show things like they are in the Page Templates. You can use any other page builder like Visual Composer but currently we do not have custom made shortcodes for it(But will be added very soon). For support on SiteOrigins Plugin you can contect plugin’s author here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/siteorigin-panels
    Thanks
