Want to resize event sponsor’s image

    Hi,
    I am having the same problem described in the 11/3/17 post #88308 but am not able to apply the solution described. I want to retain the sponsor’s 212 x 112 logo but instead see only a square thumbnail with much of the image cut off.

    I tried to download the single-event.php template found in post #88476 at http://d.pr/f/UPdH2 to get full size sponsor logo images in my single event pages. Then I went to the WP dashboard (Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme). I clicked the “Choose File” button, navigated to the .ZIP file for the downloaded template, and clicked “Install Now.” Installation failed with this message:
    Installing Theme from uploaded file: single-event.php.zip
    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the theme…

    The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

    Theme installation failed.

    What am I doing wrong?

    I then tried the custom .css provided in post #88530 (below) but I saw no difference in my image.
    .partner-logos li {
    margin: 28px 0 0;
    width: auto
    }

    ARagas (who posted this problem originally) said the custom css worked, so I am hoping you can help me get it to work, as well. If so, maybe I don’t even need the single-event.php template.

    I am using hosted WP (TMDhosting) with Gaea theme child pages.

    Thank you,
    Ellen

    First, please change my earlier post #98184 to private. I inadvertently included my login credentials. I am having TMDhosting change the password but until they do so, anyone can modify my site.

    I have just the one partner logo at this time and it looks fine. My problem is with the SPONSOR LOGOS. See this page:
    http://s982.tmd.cloud/~modestol/?event=summer-reading&event_date=2018-05-22 is
    I tried two different sized logos from the Foundation and both are reduced to a square. I noticed that all the sample sponsor logos that came with the theme are conveniently square, so they, of course, look fine.

    Thanks,
    Ellen

    If you have changed the password then please share the new pass here for me to check the client logos on other page you shared. Thanks

    I just added a new event with a sponsor (the same company that appears on the home page as a partner). It can be found at http://s982.tmd.cloud/~modestol/?post_type=event&p=1785 and also appears as a square.

    You need to add this single-event.php file in your child theme http://d.pr/f/UPdH2 either uploading using FTP or your hosting file manager. You can not install it as a separate theme. Once added add custom css at Theme Options => Custom CSS/JS
    .partner-logos li {
    margin: 28px 0 0;
    width: auto
    }

    Thanks

    My hosting company cannot help me with this installation, as they consider this customization of our site, which they do not do. Do you have instructions available that will guide me through this process? I don’t know how to upload via FTP and I don’t know the location of my child theme (folder?).

    You can ask your hosting support to provide you with the FTP access info where you can find the child theme under your website root => wp-content => themes. If you can get the FTP access info then you can share it here with me in a private reply and I will upload it for you. Thanks

    You are the best. I’m almost ready to launch our site now. Please point me to the location where I can give the Gaea theme a good review. I’d be happy to do so!
