The Theme Builder lets you design your site’s header, footer, single post layout, archive pages, and 404 page visually — all using the same drag-and-drop editor. The NativeChurch Elementor demo uses Theme Builder for its header and footer rather than the theme’s built-in header/footer.
To edit the header or footer in the NativeChurch Elementor demo, always use Elementor → Theme Builder — do NOT use Appearance → Customize or the Theme Options header/footer settings, as the Elementor template overrides those.
Accessing Theme Builder
- In the WordPress dashboard, go to Elementor → Theme Builder.
- You will see tabs for: Headers, Footers, Single, Archive, Search Results, 404 Page, and Popups.
- Click the pencil/edit icon on any existing template to open it in the Elementor editor.
- Click Add New to create a new template from scratch or from a pre-built block.

Editing the Header
- Go to Elementor → Theme Builder → Header tab.
- Click the edit (pencil) icon on the active header template.
- The header opens in the full Elementor editor — click any element to edit it.
- To change the logo: click the Site Logo widget → Content tab → choose Custom Image or use the site logo from Customizer.
- To edit navigation: click the Nav Menu widget → Content tab → select a different menu or edit menu items at Appearance → Menus.
- To change header background: click the outer section → Style tab → Background → set colour or upload image.
- When done, click Update. The header updates live site-wide immediately.

Editing the Footer
- Go to Elementor → Theme Builder → Footer tab.
- Click the edit icon on the active footer template.
- Edit text, icons, links, social icons, and column layout just like any other page.
- To add or remove footer columns: click the section → Content tab → Structure, or right-click a column to add/delete.
- Click Update when done.
Display Conditions
Each Theme Builder template has Display Conditions — rules that control which pages the template appears on. If a header or footer isn’t showing on certain pages, check its conditions.

| Singular | Template shows only on single posts, pages, or custom post types. |
| Archive | Template shows on archive/category/tag listing pages. |
| Specific Page / Post | Template shows only on a chosen page or post by name. |
| Front Page | Template shows only on the homepage. |
To edit conditions: In Theme Builder, click the Conditions link under any template, or use the Publish → Display Conditions button inside the editor.

Single Post & Page Templates
The NativeChurch Elementor demo may include custom templates for single blog posts, sermons, or events. These templates use dynamic widgets (Post Content, Post Title, Featured Image, Post Info, Author Box) to automatically display the correct content for whichever post is being viewed.
- Go to Elementor → Theme Builder → Single tab to view and edit single post templates.
- Click Preview to see the template rendered with real post content.
- Dynamic widgets pull content from the current post — you don’t need to edit the template each time you publish a new post.
Popups
Elementor includes a Popup Builder for creating lightboxes, announcement bars, fly-in notifications, and slide-in panels. Access via Elementor → Popups. Configure display triggers (page load, scroll depth, exit intent, click) and conditions in the Publish settings.
