Color Scheme

The Color Scheme section sets the primary and secondary accent colours used throughout the Gaea theme — applied to buttons, links, hover states, headings, icon accents, and many other UI elements.

Setting Description
Global Color Scheme Select from predefined colour scheme presets. Each preset applies a coordinated combination of primary and secondary colours across the theme instantly.
Theme Color Scheme A set of colour scheme swatches. Selecting one updates the primary colour used across the theme.
Primary Theme Color Enter a hex value or use the colour picker to set a fully custom primary accent colour. This overrides any predefined scheme and is applied to buttons, active nav links, headings, icon accents, and more.
Secondary Theme Color Sets a complementary secondary colour used for hover states, alternative accents, and secondary button styles.

Where Theme Colors Are Applied

  • Call-to-action and primary buttons
  • Link hover states
  • Section heading accents and decorative dividers
  • Progress bars and counters
  • Event and project category labels
  • Active navigation states
  • Badge backgrounds and icon fills

Note: Use a tool like WebAIM Contrast Checker to verify that your chosen colours meet WCAG accessibility contrast requirements.
