Template Settings

The Templates tab controls how iSermons integrates with your theme and page builders like Elementor. Go to iSermons → Settings → Templates.

Sermon Taxonomy Template

  • Use Default – iSermons renders taxonomy archive pages using its own built-in layout, applying all the Taxonomy Page settings. This is the recommended option for most sites.
  • Use Custom Template – Your theme or page builder takes control of the taxonomy archive template. Use this when you want Elementor (or another builder) to render the archive. You can still embed the native iSermons taxonomy content inside your builder template using the [isermons-taxonomy-page] shortcode or the iSermons Taxonomy Page Elementor widget.

Page Builder Taxonomy Archives

When enabled, real WordPress taxonomy archive URLs are made available to Elementor archive templates. Disable this to use the legacy iSermons-managed taxonomy URLs for backward compatibility.

Tip: If setting up a new site with Elementor, enable this option, set Sermon Taxonomy to Use Custom Template, then create an Elementor archive template for iSermons taxonomies and place the iSermons Taxonomy Page widget inside it.

Sermons Archive Page

Optionally select a WordPress page to act as the iSermons archive landing page. When set, visiting that page’s URL displays the sermon archive. Leave empty to use the native post-type archive URL.
