The Sermon Media meta box appears below the content editor when creating or editing a sermon. It is where you attach all multimedia files and assets that visitors can play or download from the sermon detail page.
Media Fields
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Audio | Upload an MP3 (or other audio file) via the WordPress Media Library, or paste a direct URL to an external audio file or streaming link. This powers the embedded audio player and the Download Audio button on the sermon detail page. |
| Bulletin | Upload a PDF bulletin file or paste a URL. Visitors can download the bulletin from the sermon detail page. |
| Sermon Notes | Upload a PDF sermon notes file or paste a URL. Visitors can download the notes from the detail page. |
| Video | Paste a video URL (YouTube, Vimeo, or any direct link). When present, an embedded video player appears on the sermon detail page. |
| Bible Passage | Enter the scripture reference in full book-name format, e.g. John 3:16-18. Displayed as sermon metadata and used by the Reftagger integration to generate scripture tooltips. |
Adding Files
For each file field (Audio, Bulletin, Sermon Notes) you have two options:
- Upload via Media Library – Click the Add File button to open the WordPress Media Library. Select an existing file or upload a new one. The URL is automatically inserted.
- Paste a URL – Paste a direct link to a file hosted externally (e.g. a CDN or podcast host) directly into the text field.
Tip: For the Audio field, you can paste an external streaming URL directly — you do not need to host the file on your own server.
