Calendar Options

An important part of the inbuilt event manager is the ‘Full Width Events Calendar”. It has several options which are described below but the first thing is about showing calendar on the front end of the website.

There are several options available for you to customize and extend the events calendar. Options are available at your WP Dashboard => Born To Give => Theme Options => Calendar Options

Calendar Header

There are 2 different prebuilt styles available for the calendar.

Events Limit

Since the block of a date on the calendar has limited height so setting a limit for the events to show per day should be set. Any additional events on the same date over the limit will show in a simple popover.

Show WP Events

You may hide the events added in your website to show on the calendar and just use the calendar for the Google events only.

Google Calendar Setup

To be able to show your Google Calendar events, the first thing is to add your API key in the available field on the options page. See kb about generating an API key

Next thing is to add your Google Calendar ID. This can be added here to use the same ID globally where ever you show calendar using the shortcode. To show different Google calendar events on different pages, enter the Google calendar ID in the shortcode attribute as shown in the video above. See kb about getting your Google Calendar ID

Set first day of the week in the calendar

By default the first day of the week shown in the calendar is ‘Monday’, though this can be changed to any other day from your WP Dashboard => Settings => General
