The Lightbox is a popup overlay that displays images, gallery items, and videos in a larger view without leaving the page. This section lets you choose which lightbox plugin is used across your site.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Lightbox Plugin | Choose between two supported lightbox libraries: PrettyPhoto or FancyBox. Both provide a full-screen overlay with navigation arrows for galleries. FancyBox supports a wider range of media types including HTML content and iframes. |
When is the Lightbox Used?
The lightbox activates automatically when visitors click:
- Images in galleries added via the WordPress Gallery block or shortcode
- Sermon video thumbnails (when set to open in a popup)
- Team member profile photos (in grid layouts with lightbox enabled)
- Individual images linked to their full-size version
Note: If you use a page builder with its own lightbox feature, you may want to disable the theme lightbox to avoid conflicts.
