Sidebar Options let you control where — and whether — sidebars appear across different content types on your site. Each post type has its own sidebar position setting.
For each content type below, you can choose from: Left Sidebar, Right Sidebar, or No Sidebar.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Single Event Pages | Sets the sidebar position for individual event detail pages (when using the built-in event post type). |
| Author Pages | Sets the sidebar position for author archive pages — the page listing all posts by a specific author. |
| Event Archive | Sets the sidebar position for the event listing/archive page. |
| Sermon Archive | Sets the sidebar position for the sermon listing/archive page. |
| Blog Archive | Sets the sidebar position for the main blog page, category pages, and tag archive pages. |
| Search Results | Sets the sidebar position for the search results page. |
| bbPress Forums | Sets the sidebar position for bbPress forum pages, if the bbPress plugin is installed and active. |
| WooCommerce Shop | Sets the sidebar position for WooCommerce shop and product category pages, if WooCommerce is installed. |
Note: To add widgets to a sidebar, go to Appearance > Widgets. You must have at least one widget assigned for a sidebar to appear on the front end.
Note: Individual pages can override the global sidebar setting using the ‘Page Options’ meta box in the WordPress editor.
