Pagination & Interaction

The prayer list includes built-in AJAX-based pagination and interaction controls.

AJAX Pagination

If a page contains many prayers, iPray divides them into pages.

Pagination appears only if enabled:

Prayers → Settings → Shortcodes → Prayer List

or via shortcode attribute:

[ipray_list pagination="yes"]

When users click page numbers:

  • Prayers reload instantly

  • The page does not refresh

  • Users remain in the same scroll position

“I Prayed for This” Button

Each prayer shows a pray button that visitors can click to express support.

The button:

  • Increases the prayer’s counter

  • Works once per user session

  • Shows updated prayer count immediately

  • Can trigger an email to the submitter (if enabled)

This feature works automatically — no settings required other than notification preferences.

Comments (Optional)

If comments are enabled in:

Prayers → Settings → General → Allow comments on prayers

…each prayer entry will display:

  • Comment count

  • A “View comments” area or inline comment section (depending on styling & theme)

If disabled, comments are completely hidden.

Country Flag / Country Name (Optional)

If Detect submitter country is enabled in:

Prayers → Settings → General

…the prayer list may show:

  • A country label

  • A country flag (if your theme or child theme supports it)

This helps visitors understand where prayers are coming from.
