Notifications to Submitter

iPray can automatically notify prayer submitters about various updates related to their prayer requests. These notifications depend on your chosen settings and what the submitter selected at the time of submission.

All email templates follow the customizable design under:

Prayers → Settings → Email Template

Types of Notifications Submitters May Receive

1. Prayer Submission Confirmation

If enabled in:

Prayers → Settings → Notifications → Notify submitter

Submitters receive an email confirming their prayer request was received.

2. Someone Prayed for Their Prayer

If you turn on:

Notify Submitter on Pray

Submitters receive a friendly message when someone clicks the “I prayed for this” button on their prayer.

They can choose to receive these or not depending on your global settings.

3. Comment Notifications

If:

  • Comments are enabled

  • Notify Submitter on New Comments is enabled

  • The user checks “Email me when someone comments on this prayer”

…then the user receives an email each time a new comment is posted.

Admin Notifications

Separate from submitter notifications, iPray can also notify the admin when:

  • A prayer requires approval (when moderation is enabled)

  • New prayers are submitted

These are managed in the same Notifications tab.

Unsubscribe Options

Submitters can unsubscribe from notifications using a link included in all prayer-related emails (based on your settings).
