Each prayer entry on the prayer list consists of UI elements defined in:

• The plugin’s template

• Your Styling settings

• Your Shortcode builder configuration

You can adjust nearly every visual aspect without writing CSS.

What a Prayer Item Includes

A typical prayer item displays:

• Submitter name or “Anonymous”

• Prayer request text

• Date and time

• Country (optional)

• Comment count (if comments enabled)

• “I prayed for this” counter

• Optionally: borders, dividers, shadows

Layout Options (List or Grid)

Using the Shortcodes tab, you can choose between:

List Layout (default)

• Full-width prayer entries

• Clean vertical flow

• Best for long prayer messages

Grid Layout

• Display prayers in 2, 3, or 4 columns

• Great for shorter message summaries

• Ideal for church websites with high submission volumes

Styling Options Affecting Prayer Items

The Styling tab includes multiple prayer-list-specific settings:

Find them under:

Prayers → Settings → Styling → Prayers List

Common controls include:

• Background color

• Text color

• Divider color

• Border color

• Shadows

• Corner radius

• Date styling

• Name text styling

• Prayer message typography

Resetting the Prayer List Styling

Each styling section includes:

Reset Section

Clicking this restores default styling only for that section, without affecting other styling groups.

Additional Display Behaviors

Anonymous Submissions

If a user submits anonymously:

• The prayer list automatically hides their name

• The label “Anonymous” appears instead

Prayer Length Handling

Longer prayers maintain full readability; they are not truncated by default.

Mobile Responsiveness

Grid layouts collapse gracefully into single-column lists on smaller screens.

Dashboard Link (Optional)

If you link to the dashboard anywhere, users can click through to manage their own submissions.
