We are very happy to introduce an all new mobile app for easy and automated check-ins for the QR tickets you sell using the Eventer Plugin. “Eventer Check In” app allows website owners to install it on their Android or iOS devices to scan printed tickets of the registrants at the entry gate of the event venue. We have used WP API for live updating of check-ins done using the App. See video below for a demo of the App.

How to setup your App

Get the app from the Apple Appstore or Google PlayStore.

Once the app is installed, open it on your device and firstly copy the API key from your website WP Dashboard => Eventer => Settings

Starting from version 3.9.3 of the plugin and the latest mobile app version, you can now assign unique API keys to your website organizers, allowing them to view only their own events in the check-in app. These API keys can be accessed via the WordPress Dashboard under Eventer => Organizers. The primary API key, found on the Eventer settings page, will continue to display all events as it did previously.

Now back to the app, enter your website name, URL(do include https://) and API key in the first screen of the App to connect it to your website.

How to use the app

Once the app is connected with your website, you will first screen to select the event

1. You will need to select the event from the list. We only show next 5 upcoming events in the list
2. Now select the date of the event for which you would like scan tickets for. In the case of a recurring event you will see multiple dates on which the selected event is recurring.
3. You may also see another select field in case your selected event has multiple time slots.
4. After making the proper selection of the event, date, time you can start scanning tickets by clicking the ‘Scan Ticket’ button. To see a list of all the attendees click on the ‘Attendees List’ button.
5. Upon using the ‘Scan Ticket’ button, your mobile device camera will be ready to scan the QR code over the ticket.
6. On the ‘Attendees List’ you will see a list of people who have booked tickets for the selected event and have payment status completed.
   
7. On this screen you can either choose to scan ticket with camera with the scanner icon at the top right corner or can swipe left on the name of the attendee to check-in manually. Manual check-in is helpful in case you are getting problem with the QR code not getting scanned.
8. If the ticket carries the data as per your chosen event/date/time it will be checked-in instantly and a confirmation screen will appear.
