Assigning a Seat Map to an Event

After building your seat maps, link them to individual events. You can use the same map for all dates or assign different maps to different date/time slots.

Default Assignment (All Slots)

  1. Open the event in the WordPress editor.
  2. Scroll to the Seat Plan meta box.
  3. From the Default Map dropdown, select the seat map to use for all dates/slots of this event.
  4. Update or publish the event.

Per-Slot Overrides

For events with multiple dates or time slots where the venue layout differs:

  1. In the Seat Plan meta box, click Add Slot Override.
  2. Select the specific date or time slot from the first dropdown.
  3. Select the map to use for that slot from the second dropdown.
  4. Repeat for each slot that needs a different layout.
  5. Update the event.

Ticket Type Mapping

Within the assignment, map each seating zone to a Ticket Type. This means:

  • Customers who select a VIP seat are automatically assigned the VIP ticket type and price.
  • Zone ticket mapping is configured in the Seat Plan meta box under Zone → Ticket Type.

Tip: If you use time slots (multiple sessions per day), each slot gets its own independent seat inventory — seats booked for the 2pm show do not affect availability for the 7pm show.
