As a website admin or event organizer, you may occasionally need to issue complimentary tickets—for sponsors, special guests, volunteers, or media. With the Eventer plugin, you can easily generate and distribute free tickets through either WooCommerce or the default Eventer booking system.

Here’s how to do it:

Woo Bookings (If WooCommerce is Enabled)

Step 1: Create a 100% Discount Coupon

1. Navigate to WooCommerce > Coupons and click Add Coupon.

2. Set a coupon code (e.g., VIP100) and fill in any optional description.

3. Under Coupon data:

   • Choose Discount type as Percentage discount.

   • Set Coupon amount to 100.

   • (Optional) Restrict the coupon to certain products (ticket types).

4. Click Publish to save the coupon.

Step 2: Use the Coupon for Booking

1. Visit the event page and add tickets to the cart.

2. Apply the coupon at checkout to reduce the price to ₹0 or $0.

3. Proceed to checkout and complete the booking without payment.

💡 You can book the ticket on behalf of someone using their email address or your admin email if you’re planning to forward the ticket manually.

Step 3: Download and Send the Ticket

1. Go to WooCommerce > Orders, find the relevant order.

2. Scroll to the ticket section and download the generated PDF.

3. Email the PDF to the attendee or print it for hand-delivery.

Default Built-in Booking System (No WooCommerce)

If you’re using Eventer’s default booking system (without WooCommerce), complimentary tickets can be generated just as easily.

Step 1: Create a 100% Off Coupon

1. Go to Eventer > Settings > General > Coupons.

2. Click Add New Coupon and fill in:

   • Coupon Code (e.g., FREEPASS)

   • Discount Amount: Enter 100%

   • Set current date/time for Valid Till field.

3. Save the coupon.

Step 2: Book the Ticket Using the Coupon

1. Go to the event page on the frontend.

2. Fill the booking form with desired ticket quantity and attendee details.

3. Apply the 100% coupon code before submitting.

4. Submit the booking—no payment will be required.

Step 3: Send the Ticket PDF

1. Go to Eventer > Bookings.

2. Locate the complimentary booking.

3. Download the ticket PDF and share it via email or print it.
